Feng Shui literally translated means wind and water, two of the most powerful forces in nature.
The ancient Chinese believe that these two forces are responsible for health, prosperity and good fortune.
Feng Shui embraces Heaven and Earth and all living things. Everything living has energy flowing through and around it and with the use of Feng Shui this energy can be balanced and harmonized. In Feng Shui we call this energy Chi.
Feng Shui has spread to the Western world where people are now focusing on the totality of mind, body and spirit for health and well being.
Feng Shui considers the layout of the land surrounding a dwelling. It considers the inside of the dwelling and how the energy flows through and around it.
A person is a reflection of his home.
If the flow of Chi around and through the home is unhealthy, the overall energy of the home will be weak. This could mean that Chi is blocked or rushing too fast through the home. Chi may become confused, stuck, or distressed. If this happens then occupants of the home will manifest the same in their bodies and in their lives.
By using Feng Shui in our homes we can take steps to improve our life and well being.
"We are what we think
all that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make our world.”
Buddha
