"I signed a contract with Stuart Tyler to complete the renovations of my Queenslander in Hermit Park.
Previous work had been done in fits and starts and while the steel work was in place for the deck and verandahs the major task of linking the steel to the existing structure, to prepare for a completely new roof, was yet to occur.
Completing partially-enclosed ground floor and the construction of a major internal staircase and new upstairs bathroom (through to tilling) were also part of the brief.
Stuart, and his son Chris and wife Jenny were all involved in the project which took three months to complete, exactly to the date on the contract.
While most would describe such a major renovation as a nightmare, instead I found it to be an entirely positive experience from the beginning to the end.
The Tyler’s were professional, meticulous adaptable to change when I was indecisive, calm and friendly.
We agreed on schedule of payments which were adhered to with the Tyler’s purchasing all the materials required, and remained within budget.
They worked in with the multitude of other tradesmen involved in the project, once again with adaptability and professionalism. It was not an easy job but they made it seem as though it was.
My old Queenslander is now the home I have dreamed of for so many years and has caused people to literally stop in their tracks as they walk or drive by.
I would not hesitate in recommending Stuart to anybody, in fact a better way of putting it is that I would recommend him to everybody."
