Your Builder - Stuart Tyler

Stuart has been involved in the building trade, not only as a carpenter/builder but also as a lecturer and a driving force behind environmentally sustainable housing for more than three decades.  Stuart has a wide range of skills including TAFE teacher, Project management and Business management.

Stuart's passion for a greener future has led him to develop new environmentally responsible building practices.  His careful selection of materials ensures good indoor air quality.  Stuart has developed a method of roof ventilation to help with home cooling.  New design features such as orientation and natural ventilation make for cooler tropical living.

He believes that with the advent of global climate change and the increased climatic extremes we need to look at new designs in housing to accommodate these changes.

Stuart has has been operating Tyler Homes, a family business, doing major renovations, house construction, decks and stairs for the last 10 years and has recently relocated to Bingil Bay where he continues to bring his unique building skills to North Queensland.

Interior Designer - Jenny Tyler

Jenny has been in the contruction industry for 36 years.  She started as an Interior Designer with Myer Indooroopilly Store in the early 70's, renovating and decorating many homes in the surrounding area.

As well as being involved 'hands-on' in building she is also a project manager, competent leadlighter, colourist and environmentalist.

Jenny can help you think through what you want before you start and save you time, stress and money on your project.

She has studied the principals of Feng Shui and has adapted this ancient philosophy to North Queensland conditions.  Jenny has a Diploma in Feng Shui which is accredited and approved by the Feng Shui Society of London.
